Demon's Souls Is A PS5 Launch Title, And It Will Cost $70

Bluepoint Games’ remake on Demon’s Souls will be a launch title for the PS5 when the next-gen console becomes available on November 12, 2020 in select countries (Nov 19 for the rest of the world) and it will be one of the many next-gen titles that will cost $70.
After the big and rather impressive PlayStation 5 Showcase which revealed the PS5’s price and launch date, PlayStation published a blog post revealing the price tag of all first-party PS5 launch titles, and Demon’s Souls is one of the games that are priced $10 higher than the standard price we are all used to for generations.
It’s inevitable with the cost of games development going up and it’s certainly not the first time since the PS5 versions of NBA 2k21 and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War are also priced at $70.
In the list of launch titles coming from Sony’s first-party studios, games like Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is priced at $49.99 alone, but if you opt for the Deluxe Edition that comes with an enhanced version of the original Marvel’s Spirder-Man, the price goes to $69.99.
PS5 exclusive Destruction All Stars, the competitive combat racer is also priced at $69.99 but other launch titles like Sackboy A Big Adventure remains at the standard $59.99, showing that the prices varies depending on the title.
In case you missed it, Sony showed off gameplay footage of the Demon’s Souls remake and it’s easily one of the best looking games shown at the PS5 showcase.
Demon’s Souls will be available exclusively for the PS5 on November 12, 2020.
Lost Soul Aside has been delayed from May 30 to August 29, 2025, as UltiZero Games takes more time to polish the action-adventure title.
