PlayStation 5 Cost Revealed, Launching Worldwide This November
Sony has announced that the PlayStation 5 will cost $499 (~ PHP 24,148) while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will cost $399 (~PHP 19,309). Both versions of the console will be available in US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea on November 12, 2020. The PS5 will then be available for the rest of the world on November 19, 2020.
The cost and the launch date of Sony’s next generation console was revealed during the second livestream PlayStation 5 Showcase, which also featured a series of new games coming to the console. One of them was Final Fantasy VXI, which opened the showcase.
The announcement was made after Microsoft revealed the price of the Xbox Series X and it’s launch date, as well as announcing a cheaper but less powerful version called the Xbox Series S.
