Hell is Us PS5 and Xbox Demo Goes Live this August

The upcoming action RPG Hell Is Us will have a playable demo on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S starting August 12, 2025. Developer Rogue Factor has not confirmed whether this console demo will remain available until the game’s full release on September 4. Previously, the PC demo launched in early June and was taken down a few weeks later.

Hell Is Us Console Demo Launches on August 12

Reception to the PC demo has been largely favorable. Its emphasis on exploration, a unique take on the post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting, and a lack of hand-holding when it comes to quests and puzzles have all been praised. These aspects appear to be the game’s main draw.

As for combat, at first glance, it might seem like another Soulslike experience. However, the gameplay suggests a different approach. While you can expect to parry, dodge, and lock onto enemies, Hell Is Us leans more toward faster-paced encounters. You often face multiple enemies at once, and attack strings feel quicker, offering a different rhythm than the slower, more punishing combat typical of the genre.

Hell Is Us is set to launch on September 4, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will be priced at $40 (around ₱1,600), which is notably affordable in today’s market.
