Dying Light 2 Gets A Release Date Plus A New Name
/ Carlos Hernandez
Dying Light 2, now officially called Dying Light 2 Stay Human, gets a new gameplay trailer that gives us a fresh new look at the open-world zombie infested FPS game which is now set to release on December 7, 2021 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The new trailer is a detailed presentation of the world of Dying Light 2 Stay Human as the parkour mechanics the series is known for seems to be intact and more fluid compared to the first game. The day and night cycle is still an important element in Dying Light 2 as it’s dangerous to roam at night as the zombies are more aggressive and unique creatures roam the streets.
Here’s a quick synopsis of the game according to developers Techland:
“Players will take control of Aiden Cauldwell, a survivor trying to piece together his past. Three factions are vying for power over the scraps of civilization. Aiden can work for or against each of these factions to help shape your story. But at night all three factions are at the mercy of the zombies."
If you’ve been following Dying Light 2’s development progress, you’ll know that Techland announced a sudden indefinite delay in early 2020 to work in their vision of the game, which is why we haven’t heard from the team about the sequel since it’s reveal way back in 2018.
Now, it seems everything is right on track as a release date was announced with pre-orders now open to those excited to invest as early as now.
