Day One Xbox Game Pass Additions

Microsoft might confirm new games coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one during the show. So far, pretty much every new title reveale in this year’s showcase is coming to Game Pass on day one.

What’s Next for Xbox in 2025

The Xbox Showcase this year with packed with games from various genres, but the biggest surprise was at the start as we got our first look at the ROG Xbox Ally, Xbox’s official handheld device that will pair with Xbox Game pass when the device releases in Winter 2025.

It is rumored that Xbox was working on an Xbox branded handheld for months, and its rather cool and possibly smart to see them pair with ASUS’s ROG brand. ROG’s Ally is already known in the community and many are rather happy with it as being a solid choice for a powerful handheld device. Instead of competing and creating their own, they just morph the device and give that Xbox spin together with its own dedicated Xbox button, which seems to be used to quickly swap from one application to another. as we saw the button allow the user to swap from one application to Battle.net, for example.

It’s a great lineup of games and reveals but was a bit disappointed that they ended the show with Call of Duty Black Ops 7. Usually, the last big reveal is reserved at the end. I was hoping for a completely new and interesting IP, or a revival of a beloved series getting a new game like another Crackdown, or a good look at the new Fable’s gameplay.

Not… Call of Duty.
