Torchlight 3 Is Coming To The Nintendo Switch This Year
/ Carlos Hernandez
Perfect World Entertainment and Echtra games announced that Torchlight 3 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this fall year. They released a new trailer for the action RPG lootfest during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase.
The Torchlight 3 project was initially named Torchlight Frontier and the developers were aiming for a more MMO approach. As development progressed, they’ve dropped that concept and decided to make a true sequel to Torchlight 2, rebranding it as Torchlight 3 and sticking with the franchise’s known action RPG elements.
Torchlight 3 will have 4 classes: the Dusk Mage, Forged, Railmaster, and Sharpshooter. Your pet sidekicks will make a return and players get to slowly build their very own Fort, which serves as their personalized base of operations as you progress through the game’s campaign.
Those who get the Nintendo Switch version of Torchlight 3 will be given an exclusive Red Fairy pet for their character. It just makes sense to have action RPGs available on a mobile console as grinding for the best gear to upgrade your character is a great option to kill time while out of the house, or play in the house with a big screen to unwind.
Torchlight 3 will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in the fall, which means somewhere between September to November of this year. The action RPG is currently available in Steam’s Early Access program since last June.
