1666: Amsterdam Enters Early Access on August 25
Panache Digital Games is set to release 1666: Amsterdam in early access on August 25 through Steam and Epic Games Store, at a price of $29.99. Together with this announcement, a new trailer for the game was released to showcase the game's day and night cycle.
1666: Amsterdam revolves around a gameplay loop where Noa and the cat Aaron stay anonymous during the day to investigate what they can find about each of the Originals hiding in Amsterdam. Magic is frowned upon, so you'll need to approach each opportunity discreetly, but during the night the gloves are off as Noa gets to freely use her powers to handle the threats that show up during this time.
This is the first gameplay trailer that gives a good explanation of what players will have to do, and how gameplay looks in both combat and during the daytime when you explore and investigate.
1666: Amsterdam was officially revealed back in June 2026 during this year's Summer Game Fest, a game the studio has been working on for years, as the last game released by the studio was Ancestors: The Human Odyssey, released in 2019.
