/ Carlos HernandezActivision has officially confirmed the various rumors that the next Call of Duty game will be Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The full reveal of the game will be within Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Warzone on August 26, 2020.

It’s hard to keep a secret nowadays in this industry as rumors back in June were swirling about this year’s call of duty game, saying that the next entry is a new entry in the Black Ops series, set in the cold war. Apparently, they were right.
The last Black Ops title was Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the first title in the series that didn’t feature a single-player campaign mode. Instead, we were given the series first take on the battle royale format called Blackout. This time around, I doubt we will see a new version of Blackout as Call of Duty: Warzone is doing great on all platforms as a free-to-play title and it will be interesting on how they will match Warzone with Cold War.
