Crazy Taxi: World Tour Closed Network Test Set for September 12
Sega announced that Crazy Taxi: World Tour will have a Closed Network Test this September for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Those interested in trying out and testing the game's online features can register for the test starting today through their website.
The Closed Network Test features two modes: Pickup Race, where cabbies compete to see who can drop off all their passengers first, and Cops 'n' Cabbies, a battle between other taxi driver players and the police. Both multiplayer modes will have ranked matches, and players can create custom lobbies.
The Closed Network Test will go live from September 12, 8:00 AM (UTC+8) to September 14, 8:00 AM (UTC+8).
What is available in the Crazy Taxi: World Tour Closed Network Test?
The Closed Network Test will naturally be limited as it will feature only two maps, 6 vehicles, and 4 playable drivers to test the two multiplayer game modes mentioned above. The test will also allow players to play around with the game’s vehicle customization options.
Together with the closed network test announcement, Sega also released a new trailer showcasing West Coast, one of the many maps planned for the game.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is a new entry for the classic Crazy Taxi series that hasn’t seen a new entry since the release of Crazy Taxi Tycoon back in 2017. In World Tour, players can dive into two new modes: the story mode "World Tour", where protagonist Axel journeys across maps inspired by cities around the globe, as well as an online multiplayer mode supporting up to 6 players in both co-op and competitive play.
Crazy Taxi: World Tour is set to release in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC.
