Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Will Be Available In The Philippines On June 11

The next big PlayStation 5 exclusive is exactly a month away from release as Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is still on track to release on June 11, 2021 in the Philippines. The suggested retail price for the game is set at PHP 3,490.
By now, most people should have a copy of 2016’s Ratchet & Clank thanks to the Play at Home Initiative from Sony, and would be a great start if you’re not familiar with Insomniac Games long-running series that started way back in 2002.
Last week, Sony released their latest State of Play presentation and it was all focused on Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, giving us more than 15 minutes of new gameplay footage. It’s definitely a must-see to get a good grasp at the changes in this game.
With this being a PS5 exclusive, expect the DualSense controller’s features to be used heavily on this title. Similar to how Returnal used the controller’s adaptive triggers, L2 and R2 buttons will serve as two functions: light presses for one function of a specific weapon, and a heavy press for another. But the most interesting feature applied by Insomniac Games is a smooth transition between two levels, especially during gameplay. This is the running theme in Rift Apart ever since it was revealed, and if it really runs as smooth as it does in all of it’s trailers and gameplay demos, I can’t wait for all game developers to have SSDs in mind for their projects, when SSD’s become the new standard for all consumers when it comes to storage.
Pre-orders for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has been alive for awhile now. According to Datablitz, those who secured a copy early will get a Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Magnet Set and a Carbonox armor set and Pixelizer weapon as a bonus.

So far, I’ve been loving my new console. It truly feels like a generational leap from the original Switch, even if its core concept remains the same. This may be simply an iterative, straightforward improvement over the original system, but I guess the thinking is that as the saying goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
