Sony Launched The Play At Home Initiative, Giving Away Two Games For Free

It’s a different time. A majority of the people in the world are staying at home to help lessen the spread of the dreaded COVID - 19 virus currently affecting the globe. To support those doing their part during this hard time, PlayStation have launched the Play at Home Initiative.
The initiative was announced through PlayStation’s official blog and what this does for the PlayStation community is allow PlayStation Network users the option pick up the digital copies of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey for free to keep forever. The free games of the Play at Home Initiative will be available starting April 15 8 PM PDT, until May 5, 2020 at 8 PM PDT.
The Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection compiles the first three Uncharted games remastered for the PS4 while Journey is a 2012 adventure game that remains as a jaw-dropping experience still unique to this day. Four great titles that is definitely worth your time as we all do our part in flattening the curve in our respective countries.
As what Sony mentioned in their blog post, the first part of the initiative is to support the PlayStation community. Next, the developers. Sony International Entertainment is organizing a fund to support independent developers greatly affected by this ongoing pandemic. The company has set aside $10 million to support their indie partners and are planning to share more information about it soon.
PSN users in Germany and China have a different free games offer from the Play at Home initiative. They will have the option to pick up Knack 2 and Journey instead.
