Ghost of Tsushima's 1.05 Patch Adds Higher Difficulty, Bigger Text, And More
/ Carlos Hernandez
Ghost of Tsushima, Super Punch’s open world game set in late 13th century Japan, received a new patch that gives players a more challenging difficulty level, bigger in-game text, and a ‘Lower Intensity Combat’ if you think certain parts of the game’s gameplay mechanics is a bit too much for you.
In this 1.05 patch, the new difficulty is called Lethal, and it makes enemy weapons and Jin’s katana more powerful. So, it’s going to be a quick fight if you’re well-versed in Jin’s complete toolkit, but will be greatly punished for any mistake during fights. Enemies are also more aggresive and stealth will be a tougher as they will notice Jin faster. When it comes to defense, parries and dodge windows will be tighter than previous difficulties.
On the other hand, the added Lower Intensity Combat makes certain aspects of the game’s combat easier if players have difficulty in certain parts, like let’s say unblockable moves which become blockable with Lower Intensity Combat active in your game. This mode also gives players a chance to recover when getting it by enemy combos and enemies will not attack you if you use your resolve to heal. It’s also harder to get caught by enemies while on stealth.
Last but not least — an added option to increase the in-game text from subtitles, mission objectives, to interact prompts. You now also have the option to customize subtitles with specific colors.
Ghost of Tsushima received rave reviews since it was released a few weeks ago. This is the last major PlayStation 4 exclusive for the more than six-years-old console before the launch of the PlayStation 5 which is set for a holiday release this year.
