All The Games Announced At The PlayStation 5 Reveal Presentation

The big PlayStation 5 presentation has ended and it was as expected - a series of PS5 title reveals and our first official look of the PS5. A total of 26 games were revealed, all coming to the new console when it launches later this year.

Here’s a quick rundown of trailers of all the games revealed during the presentation.

Grand Theft Auto V

Rockstar just revealed that the 2013 open world giant is getting a next-gen port as it’s coming to the PlayStation 5, with PS Plus members getting in-game cash each month until it’s release on the new console, which is planned for a 2021 release. GTA Online is also getting a standalone release.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Insomniac Games is working on the next Spidey game with Miles Morales in the spotlight. It’s set for a Holiday 2020 release.

Gran Turismo 7

Polyphony Digital’s realistic racing series is heading to the PS5 but with no release date in site. the last game was Gran Turismo Sport, which was released back in 2017.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

Insomniac Games is a busy studio as they are also working on a new entry to the Ratchet & Clank series, fully utilizing the PS5’s capabilities with rapid fire asset switching during gameplay and the use of ray tracing. No release date was given.

Project Athia

Square Enix announced a new project called Project Athia and the team working on this are the same group who gave us Final Fantasy XV. No release date was announced.

Stray

You get to control a clever cat in a world where it seems like robots have taken over. Not much details are given just yet but developer Blue12 is aiming for a 2021 release.

Returnal

Housemarque (Resogun, Dead Nation) has left the arcade shooter genre for now and is working on Returnal, a futuristic third-person shooter. No release was given.

Sackboy A Big Adventure

It looks like Sackboy is getting his own spin-off adventure. It’s a 3D platformer and with it not being a Little Big Planet title, it’s likely that this one won’t be that big in the creative side. No release date was given.

Destruction AllStars

Lucid games is working on Destruction AllStars and it looks like a destruction derby game set in a futuristic arena. It’s set for a Holiday 2020 release.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

This third-person action game is from the team at Ember lab and based on the trailer, Kena wields a staff that can transform into various weapons from a bow, sword, and more. No release date was given.

Goodbye Volcano High

This is a “cinematic narrative” game from developer KO_OP and it looks like a coming of age story of sorts. It’s currently set for a 2021 release.

OddWorld Soulstorm

Oddworld Soulstorm is actually a remake of 1998’s Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus, which was the second game of the franchise. This was originally slated for a 2017 release but was delayed to 2019 and is now aiming for a 2020 release. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

GhostWire: Tokyo

We finally get our first look at Ghostwire: Tokyo, a game by Shinji Mikami and his team at Tango Gameworks. It now looks more like an action-adventure game than a sci-fi horror based on when it was first revealed during Bethesda’s 2019 E3 presentation.

JETT: The Far Shore

JETT: The Far Shore is from the creators of the indie hit Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP and is set for a 2020 Holiday release.

Godfall

Godfall, which is deemed the first confirmed PS5 title, is an upcoming looter-slasher RPG from Gearbox Publishing and Sony gave us our first look at official gameplay. It’s still set for a 2020 release.

Solar Ash

The team behind the famous Hyper Light Drifter is working on Solar Ash, a platformer where the player controls a female that travels into a black hole.

Hitman 3

IO Interactive continues it’s work on the Hitman franchise since their departure from Square Enix. Progress from Hitman 2 will apparently carry over to Hitman 3. It’s set for a January 2021 release.

Astro’s Playroom

A game featuring Astrobots, this platformer looks to have the classic style of jumping around collecting items along the way. Not confirmed if this will be out together with the PS5.

Little Devil Inside

This adventure game was a pleasant surprise as the trailer showed a mix of humor, scale, and action seen in other games. It was apparently a kickstarter game years ago and was once scheduled for a 2016 release. Delays happened of course but it was only now that it emerged as a PS5 title. No release date was given.

NBA 2K21

The annual basketball simulator gave us a tease of this year’s entry and it looks like the New Orleans Pelican rookie Zion Williamson will be the face of NBA 2k21.

Bugsnax

The creators of Octodad has another weird one with Bugsnax, a world where food or ingredients come to life in the form of insects. Bugsnax is scheduled for a Holiday 2020 release.

Demon’s Souls

This version of Demon’s Souls is a full remake to the 2009 PS3 action RPG game . Its coming to the PS5 and no release date was given.

Deathloop

Arkane Lyon (Dishonored) gave us another look at their new game Deathloop which apparently is a timed PS5 console exclusive. Published by Bethesda, this first-person action game has a Groundhog day concept with the main character Colt in a constant loop of him trying to escape and dying and his death is mostly in the hands of the other main character Juliana. No release date given.

Resident Evil Village

Everybody knew it exists but Resident Evil Village is now official. It has a haunted village theme and brings back the first-person perspective as seen in Resident Evil 7 and protagonist Ethan and Chris Redfield makes returns for this game. It’s planned for a 2021 release.

Pragmata

This is a new title from Capcom and the trailer features a space man with abilities and is accompanied by a female child who seems comfortable in space. Not much details were given but the release window for this one is set for 2022.

Horizon Forbidden West

The Horizon Zero Dawn sequel is coming and Aloy returns for a new adventure in a world filled with animal robots. Based on the trailer, the sequel seems to pick up where the first game ended and features underwater exploration and new robotic creatures to encounter. No release date was given.
