Sony patents a new controller design

moveshock 01Sony has just revealed a patent for a new controller design which is basically a fusion of a dualshock controller and the PS Move. This controller has balls. Aside from the basic dualshock buttons and the two balls on top, the controller is designed to split in the middle so that it can be used as two separate Move controllers. As seen in the PDF that Sony released, there are concept designs on how the controllers could split. Ranging from clips, pins, a twist lock and as well as a slide lock.

I guess Sony knows that no one likes the ball on top of the Move controller so they've also included an image showing the possible shapes that will be in place of the balls. Some looking more suggestive than the others.

The patent was actually filed back in May of 2011. As goofy as this might look, remember that a patent is not a promise so this controller may not see the light of day. Remember the boomerang controller that was supposed to be the controller design for the PS3?

Company of Heroes 2 debuts gameplay footage on ice

Company of Heroes 2 Company of Heroes 2, the sequel to...well, the first Company of Heroes, now has gameplay footage  showcases winter warfare. Everything seems to be intact, and the focus is now to the east. Check the trailer below.

The game will still be set in World War II, but on the eastern front. For the fans of Company of Heroes, the sequel will stay true to the first game in terms of gameplay. Relic Entertainment is still in charge with Company of Heroes 2, and if I had to pick a developer that does RTS games so well besides Blizzard, I'd go with Relic. If you've played Dawn of War 2, then you'll understand why.

Company of Heroes 2 is set for an early 2013 release for PC. No official date has been announced so far.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 gameplay premiere will show at the VGAs

Since Konami revealed Castlevania: Lord of Shadows 2, there hasn't been much talk about the game. Thankfully this year's VGAs is only days away to change that. During the 2012 Video Game Awards on December 7, a trailer will be shown premiering the game's gameplay. A very short teaser to the trailer has been released which only runs a measly 25 seconds. Check it out below.
If you're not familiar with the VGAs, think of it as gaming's Academy awards in a sense. An event to celebrate the best talents in the industry as well as recognizing the best games for 2012. If you are not into the awards part, you should still stick around because VGA also premieres new trailers and game reveals during the show, just like the announced trailer above.
Just like any award show, this event happens annually during December. This year marks the show's 10th anniversary, and Samuel L. Jackson will be hosting the show for the fourth time. You can check out the nominees on each category and cast your vote by going to their official website.

Launch trailer for Mass Effect 3's Omega DLC

Mass Effect 3 Omega DLC screenshot Mass Effect 3's latest DLC called "Omega" and is all about Shepard helping Aria retake Omega from Cerebrus. This 4 hour content will not only have Aria in your squad for this mission, you will also have the first ever female turian ever seen in the Mass Effect universe.

You're third squad member is Nyreen, the turian leader of the Talon mercenary group, is a biotic and assists Shepard and Aria retake the space station.

That epic music got me all hyped. It made me think of getting the DLC, but then I realized the $15 (1200 MS points) price tag. Is the price worth the 4 hour content? Depends on how you reacted to the game's controversial ending I guess.

Mass Effect 3's Omega DLC will be available on November 27 in the US (possibly tom for PH)
