AdHoc Studio's Dispatch Sells Over 1 Million Copies Across PC and PS5 in Just 10 Days
/Developer AdHoc Studio’s narrative-driven superhero game has reached a new milestone as it sold over 1 million copies through PC and PS5. This was achieved when not all of its episodes were out yet as Episode 5 and 6 just launched today. What’s more impressive is that they reached this milestone in just 10 days after launch.
Dispatch getting well-received so far
The game is also doing pretty well with critics and players as in Metacritic it’s holding a commendable 9.1 user rating with 202 reviews logged. Most critics have not fully given their verdict just yet as, again, not all episodes are available, but it does have 5 critics reviews logged it, putting it at 84 for now.
As for Steam, the same story with players as it’s holding a ‘Very Positive’ user review rating after over 16,000 reviews logged so far.
“It’s always a little strange when the numbers get so big you have to talk about them,” says Michael Choung, Executive Producer and CEO at AdHoc Studio. “A week ago, we were just as thrilled watching Let's Plays and reaction videos. But milestones like this matter. They mean AdHoc will be able to make more story-driven episodic originals, and we hope it means it'll be easier for other devs to do the same. Hard to believe we’re only halfway done.”
