God Of War's Limited Edition PS4 Pro Has A Slick Design

It’s natural to expect Sony to support incoming exclusives with a Limited Edition PS4 Pro. Such is the case with God of War and the corresponding God of War Limited Edition PS4 Pro, which boasts a fancy looking design for the console and controller and of course, a bundled-in copy of God of War plus extra digital deluxe content.

Sony provided additional details about the bundle. Kratos’ Leviathan axe inspires the logo on the controller and the pattern emblazoned across the console’s casing. But what really makes the design stand out is how it leads into a gold PlayStation logo. The empty space might signify Kratos’ old blades, but then again I might be reading too much into it.

Sony also played up the how high-end TVs with 4K support can benefit the PS4 Pro and God of War:

"When played on PS4 Pro with a 4K TV, God of War outputs in a dynamic 4K resolution achieved through a 2160p checkerboard. Players with 1080p HDTVs will also benefit from increased image clarity via supersampling of a higher resolution onto their display, thanks to the game’s built-in supersampling technique. Across all PS4s, God of War also features HDR lighting and a wide color gamut for those with TVs that support HDR."

The God of War Limited Edition PS4 Pro hits stores on April 20th alongside standard copies of God of War itself of course. Retail copies of God of War will set you back PHP 2,799 here in the Philippines. Pre-ordering physical copies of the game can score you a God of War Journal Notebook, but of course, only while stocks last.
