God of War is coming to PC next year

Sony announced that the 2018 exclusive God of War will now be heading to PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store on January 14, 2022.

If your hardware can handle it, God of War will feature 4k resolution at unlocked framerates. As expected, the game will also support the use of the Dualshock 4 and the PS5’s DualSense natively. other features includes NVIDIA’s DLSS through RTX plus it’s Reflex technology, which improves input lag.

The push to release Sony’s PS4 exclusives to PC continues. Last year, Guerilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn and Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding hit Steam and the Epic Game Store. Last May, Bend Studio’s Days Gone was ported to PC. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves - a collection that includes Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy - was also announced and is coming to PC and PS5 next year.

God of War hitting PC makes sense as i’m sure many who haven’t played the PS4 exclusive is curious to give the game a try to see what the fuss was all about. Any momentum built from the release of the PC port will help the upcoming God of War Ragnarok coming next year as it’s a sequel that will end the game’s Norse mythology storyline.
