Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City half hour gameplay video

Yesterday the internet graced us with 40 minutes of Skyrim gameplay, now we have Capcom releasing new footage for us to enjoy, a half hour-long gameplay video of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

I know what your thinking, shooting and running at the same time in a Resident Evil game? yea doesn't make any sense. It's also a 4 player co-op game, so it's clearly a Resident Evil game we have not seen.

Regardless of the unusual gameplay for Raccoon City, It's concept on the other hand is pretty interesting. Players will play as a squad sent by umbrella to clean up the mess thats happening in Raccoon City, Its pretty much Resident Evil 2 all over again but in another perspective.

Not only do you clean up the mess by killing zombies, lurkers and other iconic baddies in Resident Evil, your also faced against military soldiers sent by the government, tasked to figure out whats going on, at the same time Leon S. Kennedy is also an enemy in this game as he and Claire try to survive just like in Resident Evil 2. It's a free for all fight as you can see in the video, and with that concept, I really don't see the stop shoot gameplay working here.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is set for a release at the end of this year for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, no actual date given.

Weekend, what are you playing?

So it's the first weekend of August, but that's not relevant to this post. What matters is what YOU are playing this weekend. So, what are you playing?

Migoy: Played a bit of Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World with my cousin, slept through most of my Saturday and did a little bit of Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. Also got Dragon Ball Kai: Ulimate Butoden on my DS and hot damn that game is fun. If only it were in English.

Quash: Before I headed out for editing work, I was able to finish Alan Wake today. Will start writing a review about it soon. Aside from that, more Halo: Reach multiplayer. Not done with the campaign yet, damn multiplayer is addicting.

Twisted Metal Delayed to early 2012

Originally placed for an October 4 release, David Jaffe(creator of the series) just announced that Twisted Metal will be delayed and will be released in early 2012. That's a huge push back.  Jaffe said the game is just "not ready". I guess we'll just have to wait till next year for Sweet tooth, Calypso and the rest to return.

“With Twisted Metal we plan to ship a multiplayer classic. We plan to ship the best Twisted Metal ever made. We plan to convert a lot of folks who think vehicle combat is a relic best left to 90′s nostalgia. And we plan to explode the belief that the only relevant kind of shooter is a first person one. Most importantly, we plan on treating you – the kind folks who play our game (and pay our bills) – like the VIPs that you are. You only deserve our best and we appreciate your understanding as we take a little more time to guarantee that our best is what we deliver.”

I understand delays to have more time for polish and adjustments but from October to early 2012? how incomplete was it?! I guess they threw that October 4 date and challenged themselves to reach that due date, or was it Sony rushing it out the door?

When it comes to these delays, instead of getting bummed out, I just think of the game being a better one because of it, well hopefully that will be the case for Twisted Metal.
