David Jaffe is giving fans a chance to shoot his truck

Twisted Metal - Shootmytruck David Jaffe, creator of God of War and Twisted Metal series, is giving fans a chance to shoot a replica of Sweet Tooth's truck in the comfort of your home. Yes that's right, during the 14th and 15th of February, sign up via Facebook or Twitter and get a chance to pull the trigger on a machine gun from your very own PC. Pretty twisted ad campaign, check out the video.

I'm definitely going to sign up and see if I can shoot way over here in the Philippines. If it worked then awesome. No, sadness.

That's going to be tons of people pressing that button. Whoever is there to reload the gun is going to have a hard two days of work that's for sure.

Twisted Metal is coming out on Single's Appreciation Day, which is on February 14 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Buy The Upcoming Twisted Metal And Get Twisted Metal: Black For Free

David Jaffe, co-director of the new Twisted Metal for the PS3 showed up on the Playstation Blog once again but this time with good news. The Twisted Metal creator brings us yet another message via video announcing that each copy of the new Twisted Metal will include a free downloadable copy of Twisted Metal: Black.

He also wishes every Twisted Metal fan a Merry Christmas and at the same time got side-tracked a bit for food stamps... Anyways, well that's good news.  free games are always welcome and hopefully it sticks and doesn't follow EA for trying to pull a fast one at the last-minute.

I know it's been awhile and you might have forgotten it already, but the new Twisted Metal is coming on Valentines Day, February 14, 2012 exclusively for the PS3.

Twisted Metal Delayed to early 2012

Originally placed for an October 4 release, David Jaffe(creator of the series) just announced that Twisted Metal will be delayed and will be released in early 2012. That's a huge push back.  Jaffe said the game is just "not ready". I guess we'll just have to wait till next year for Sweet tooth, Calypso and the rest to return.

“With Twisted Metal we plan to ship a multiplayer classic. We plan to ship the best Twisted Metal ever made. We plan to convert a lot of folks who think vehicle combat is a relic best left to 90′s nostalgia. And we plan to explode the belief that the only relevant kind of shooter is a first person one. Most importantly, we plan on treating you – the kind folks who play our game (and pay our bills) – like the VIPs that you are. You only deserve our best and we appreciate your understanding as we take a little more time to guarantee that our best is what we deliver.”

I understand delays to have more time for polish and adjustments but from October to early 2012? how incomplete was it?! I guess they threw that October 4 date and challenged themselves to reach that due date, or was it Sony rushing it out the door?

When it comes to these delays, instead of getting bummed out, I just think of the game being a better one because of it, well hopefully that will be the case for Twisted Metal.
