The Invincible Is A Retro-future FPS Thriller Coming To PS5 , Xbox Series, and PC In 2021

The Invincible was announced by newly formed studio Starward Industries and it’s a first-person sci-fi retro-future thriller inspired by a 1964 polish sci-fi novel baring the same title. It’s planned for a 2021 release on the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
Starward Industries is packed with veteran developers known for their work on high-profile projects like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Dying Light, Dead Island, and even Cyberpunk 2077 that’s due this November.
CEO Marek Markuszewski said in a press release that “The Invincible, which has been secretly in the making for some time, combines a fascinating setting, iconic story, and an established non-linear gameplay to deliver a truly unforgettable experience.”
Here are a few screenshots released by the developers.
Based on the Steam page for The Invincible, you are a scientist on an interstellar expedition that lands on a planet called Regis III to find your missing crew members. That’s just only the beginning as you’ll encounter the secrets of the planet as you uncover what happened to the rest of the crew.
Here’s the full list of features for The Invincible:
Retro-future atompunk setting reminiscent of the era of space race
Analogue yet very advanced technology allowing for drones and autonomous robots to support or spoil your mission
Immersive gameplay with a non-linear story shaped by your relationships, choices and persuasive skills
Beautiful, state of the art graphics powered by Unreal Engine
Intriguing story inspired by Stanislaw Lem’s seminal sci-fi cult classic of the same name
There was no trailer released together with the announcement but the developers did release a music preview to give us a sense of tone and atmosphere you can expect from The Invincible .
