S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Cost of Hope Expansion Launches August 20
Developer GSC Game World announced that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl's first major expansion, called Cost of Hope, is set to launch on August 20, 2026 on PC and consoles.
The expansion still revolves around Skif, the game's protagonist, and it starts when the player picks up a mysterious PDA signal. This leads to new locations, enemies, and weapons, along with a new story said to add "dozens" of hours.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Update 2.0
The whole game is also getting a major update, as Update 2.0 will launch alongside the new expansion. According to the developers, the update will add "a variety of new content and improvements," and it will be free for all owners of the base game. The devs plan to share more about what to expect from Update 2.0 in the coming weeks.
