Check Out Our First Look At Oro And Rival Schools' Akira in Street Fighter V
/ Carlos HernandezIn the latest livestream for Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Capcom revealed our first look at Rival Schools’ Akira and Oro, two new characters coming to the fighting game and is part of the Season 5 pass that also includes Dan and Rose.
Akira kazama in the 1997 classic fighting game Rival Schools will make her debut on Street Fighter V sometime this year and we Capcom has released a teaser to show off Akira in action.
Based on the footage above, the devs are giving Akira a similar move set mixed in with new ones like having her older brother Daigo showing up to finish off Dan in the video.
We were also given our first look at Oro, a powerful hermit that’s so powerful that he restricts using one arm when fighting to limit his power. In Street Fighter V, he limits the use of his other arm by holding his pet turtle. The last time Oro was playable was back in Street Fighter: Third Strike, he was also seen in Menat and Dhalsim’s story stills in SFV.
Akira seems to be in the early stages of development while Oro seems to be more refined now since the Spring update livestream was explaining Oro’s moveset and what to expect when he comes out. You can watch the full Spring update presentation below as it starts off with an Oro showcase.
Street Fighter V fans will get a new character to experiment with in a few weeks as Rose will be available on April 19.
This is Street Fighter V’s 5th and final season and it comes with Dan, Rose, Oro, Akira, and an unknown character that Capcom has yet to announce. Players are also getting the character Eleven for free but that isn’t much as he’s a slightly more appealing random character select option.

It’s easy to describe Animal Well as a puzzle-focused Metroidvania eschewing traditional combat, where nearly every room is a puzzle room, but that falls so far short of describing just what this game is and how expertly it defies genre and classification that it feels like a disservice.
