Overwatch 2’s Halloween Terror Event Now Live

Blizzard announced that the Halloween event for free-to-play online shooter Overwatch 2 is now live. The Halloween Terror event will run from today, October 25 until November 8.  The event will feature Halloween-themed cosmetics that can be earned by playing or purchased.

The event brings the annual co-op game mode called Junkenstein’s Revenge, where players fend off waves of Junkenstein’s monstrosities. This is the same event that was featured in the first game each Halloween season but with a slight twist, for the sake of spicing things up for that year.

The Halloween-themed skins and other cosmetics found in previous years seem to be returning, but with new ones, like the Halloween skins for newcomers Kiriko, Junker Queen, and Sojourn. Blizzard is also giving out a Werewolf Winston Legendary skin and spray through Twitch Drops as all you need to do to earn the cosmetic is by watching select Twitch streamers play Overwatch 2 from now until November 2, 2 AM GMT +8 / November 1, 2PM EST.

Viewers can earn the following rewards at:

  • 2 hours watched: Werewolf Winston Spay

  • 4 hours watched: Werewolf Winston Legendary Skin

Just make sure you’ve connected your Twitch account with your Battle.net account to earn the rewards.

Together with the Halloween event, Overwatch 2 will have a double match XP weekend starting October 28 and will run until October 31. Those who login during the Halloween event through the end of Season 1 will also receive the Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary Skin and the Health Pack Weapon Charm, as promised by the devs

Overwatch 2 is now live and free-to-play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
