Ubisoft Delays Far Cry 6 And Rainbow Six Quarantine

Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 6 as well as Rainbow Six Quarantine have been delayed. They didn’t reveal a new release date for either game.
It was mentioned in Ubisoft’s latest earnings report that you can expect both games to be released during Ubisoft’s next fiscal year, which should be between April 2021 to March 2022.
The delay is due to the Covid 19 pandemic, which is affecting production of both projects. Far Cry 6 was slated for a February 18, 2021 release when it was announced back in July.
The Far Cry 6 developers also released a statement regarding the delay via Twitter.
"Earlier this year, we introduced you to Far Cry 6--the most ambitious game in the series to date. We promised an immersive fantasy to lead a modern-day guerrilla revolution set in a rich and exotic world, filled with memorable moments, killer characters, and an epic story.”
"While we know you are all anxious to get your hands on Far Cry 6, we want to let you know that we've been given more time to allow us to make this the game you aspire to play while focusing on the well-being of our teams in this unprecedented global context. Our teams around the world are working in the studios and from their homes to pour their passion and creativity into making an unforgettable game--one we hope you will love."
“We hope you are all safe and healthy, and get ready to experience Yara and Far Cry 6 soon.”
While Far Cry 6 is next installment in the popular open world FPS franchise, Rainbow Six Quarantine will feel like a spin-off of sorts utilizing Operators from Rainbow Six: Siege in a 3-player pve-based game where players are tasked to fend off waves of mutated creatures, a departure from the realistic and competitive nature seen in Siege.
So far, I’ve been loving my new console. It truly feels like a generational leap from the original Switch, even if its core concept remains the same. This may be simply an iterative, straightforward improvement over the original system, but I guess the thinking is that as the saying goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
