2XKO Closed Beta Begins September 2025: Sign-Up Details & EVO Reveal

Riot Games has announced that their upcoming 2v2 fighting game, 2XKO, will begin a global closed beta on September 9, 2025. The beta will launch first on PC, with PS5 and Xbox Series X|S access coming at a later date.

2XKO Closed Beta – How Long Will It Last?

The most notable part of the announcement is that there’s no set end date for the beta. Once servers go live in September, Riot intends to keep them online continuously until the game’s eventual full release.

How to Join the 2XKO Closed Beta in September 2025

You can sign up on the official website for the game. Those who participated in the public play tests, Alpha Lab 1, and/or Alpha Lab 2, on PC or console will automatically have access to the closed beta of 2XKO.

Riot has yet to confirm which features will be available in this build, such as the number of playable champions or game systems that will be testable. We’ll update this post once new details are revealed.

New Champion Reveal Set for EVO 2025

Riot Games also plans to showcase more of 2XKO at EVO 2025, taking place in Las Vegas from August 1–3. A new playable champion will be revealed at the event, alongside hands-on opportunities for attendees.

The most recent champion reveal was Vi, one of the more recognizable characters from League of Legends, partly due to her prominent role in the animated series Arcane. Vi will be playable at EVO 2025, where Riot will host a booth to give the fighting game community a closer look at 2XKO.
