Dying Light: The Beast Delayed to September 19

Techland has announced that Dying Light: The Beast has been delayed, with the release date moving from August 22 to September 19, 2025. The reason for the delay is additional polish, giving the team roughly eight more weeks to get everything ready for launch.

It has always been our goal to make Dying Light: The Beast the best Dying Light game we’ve ever released. To honor this promise, we’ve made the decision to move the release date to September 19, 2025 to allow for extra polishing work. said the developers regarding the delay.

This delay comes after early previews from various media outlets and content creators, which garnered praise for the upcoming entry in the Dying Light series.

This new title is particularly special, as many are considering it a true sequel to the original game, as Dying Light: The Beast brings back fan-favorite protagonist Kyle Crane, putting him back in the spotlight. However, it isn’t considered a mainline entry in the series and is not titled Dying Light 3. Originally planned as a DLC for Dying Light 2, the project has since grown into a standalone title, and reports suggest that it can easily offer 20 to 30 hours of gameplay.

Dying Light: The Beast at Gamescom 2025

If you’re eager to try the game early, Techland also confirmed that Dying Light: The Beast will be showcased at Gamescom 2025 with a playable demo available in Hall 6.

Dying Light: The Beast is set to release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
