Rebellion teases unannounced horror title

feb610Rebelliontease Developer Rebellion (NeverDead, Sniper Elite, and Aliens vs Predator)is teasing their next project by releasing a YouTube video giving us the atmosphere of the game. It will be a horror title for the PC, and will get its full reveal this February. Check out the teaser after the break.

On the YouTube description, Rebellions gives more info about the game:"One man is utterly alone amidst the chaos of war. But there are worse things to fear than bombs and bullets here...". The description also mentioned that the game will be fully revealed on February 14.

Halfway through the 30 second teaser, we see a silhouette of what looks and sounds like zombies. Hopefully this won't be the case because we are literally flooded with zombie games at this point. Don't get me wrong, I love zombie games, but it's overrated. Please, break out of the norm and bring something new to the table for the horror genre.

Dead Island: Ripitide gameplay footage features new mechanics

Dead Island Riptide01 Deep Silver finally reveals actual gameplay footage of the game in a form of a walkthrough, explaining new features added in Riptide. The video explains a new defense mission that requires you to salvage useful items that would help fortify a certain location to fend of hordes of zombies.

The sequel (or spin-off, not too sure)looks and feels the same. That I'm ok with since the whole concept works, what I'm not ok with is the awkward animations from the last game is still present in Riptide. When I saw the player pick up an item as if he was giving a right hook to do so, I noticed right away they didn't change it. I sound a bit picky, but I was really bothered by it in the first game, seeing those weird animations every single time, it was really weird to look at, even the shadow animation showing how your character runs. The small things, I know.

Dead Island Riptide starts off where the first game ended from the looks of it. Nowhere near Banoi, but in the same archipelago. Same characters, same HUD, pretty much the same game.

Did you want a more improved 2013 Dead Island game, or is this simple enough to keep us satisfied? This is the first released video of the game, so let's hope they have more to show because the game comes out on April 23 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen coming this April

dragon__s_dogma__dark_arisen_logom Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, which is considered an expansion of the game, will be released on April 23 in the US, and April 26 in Europe.

If you are planning to buy Dragon's Dogma, I suggest you wait for Dark Arisen to get that budget price and not miss out on the extra content. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is priced at $40 when it comes out. It will be offered in both physical and digital distribution.

It's more like a relaunch of the game than anything else. The expansion will include a new island to explore, 100 new equipment, a better travel system (change based on player feedback), 25 new monsters,  new skills and augments, and increased character customization.

For those that did purchase the game already and have a save, you will be able to import your old save into the expansion. Also, owners of the original Dragon's Dogma will receive 100,000 Rift Crystals, unlimited Ferrystones and the Gransys Armour Pack consisting of six brand new costumes for free

That's a lot of added content . Is it worth buying? For players that haven't touched Dragon's Dogma definitely, but for those that already own it, it all depends on how much you want to revisit Gran Soren. I just wish we get a price cut if you do own the game, because it is an "expansion". I'll say it again, if you are planning to get Dragon's Dogma, just wait for Dark Arisen.

Aliens: Colonial Marines gets a new trailer and goes all dubstep

Aliens-Colonial-Marine02 SEGA just released a new trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines called 'Kick ass'. The trailer is a bit too much on the dubstep but hey, the game does look "kick ass" and I'm just glad the game is finally coming out. Check out the trailer below.

This will be the first game set on the same timeline as the movies. Somewhat like a sequel since the events in the game occurs after Aliens 3.

Aliens: Colonial Marines will be out on February 19 and has gone gold. No more delays for this Aliens game.
