Boyfriend Dungeon Lets You Date a Sabre, Dagger, Epee and More

Indie team Kitfox Games has developed a quirky reputation. Between the last year’s co-op choose your own adventure RPG Moon Hunters and this year’s cult management sim Shrouded Isle they have a penchant for weird mashups.

Well Boyfriend Dungeon, set for a 2019 release, is one mashup we can definitely get behind. It combines the hack and slash gameplay of dungeon crawlers with very cute boys and girls. Players fight through procedurally generated monsterful dungeons and rescue lost weapons that turn out to be date-o material.

It kind of brings to mind Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu, this year’s anime that anthropomorphizes fine swords into fine young men. In Boyfriend Dungeon, every romance is tied to a specific weapon. Players work to level them up and also win over them sweeties. Also, it looks like one of the eligible date-os will be a cat.

According to Kitfox Games’ social media, Boyfriend Dungeon launches in 2019. You can follow their social media channels for updates. In the meantime you can check out this sweet trailer.
