The Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Season 10 Finals have concluded and not only do we see team Na’vi take the win this season, but we also finally get our first look at the next pair of Operators to be added into the roster once Operation Shifting Tides goes live.

Their names are Kali and Wamai - two Operators coming from an Indian private military company equipped with unique gadgets and weapons to shape how players will approach certain matches in Rainbow Six Siege.

Kali - Attacker (two speed, two armor)

Kali’s addition to the Rainbow team debuts the CSRX 300, Siege’s first bolt action sniper rifle. There’s a lot of elements that make it a unique primary weapon on the Attacker side. For one, there’s a distinct sound when you fire the weapon which also leaves a longer bullet trail to expose Kali’s position. In return — aside from all headshots being a one-shit kill — all of Kali’s shot above the waist results in an opponent going to the downed state and has the ability to pierce multiple walls and enemies. It also has a 5x and 12x zoom to make her deadly in various ranges.

Then, we have her gadget, an LV Explosive Lance fired at her bolt action rifle’s underbarrel. This makes Kali breach Operators (Thermite, Hibana) their new best friend as her projectile destroys devices on both sides of the wall it was attached to. This works on reinforced walls as well, making Kali a viable choice to clear Defender gadgets protecting reinforced walls like Mute’s jammer. It can also destroy shields and even barbed wires.

In her secondary, she can equip herself with either a A C-75 auto pistol or a P226 mk-25, and she can bring with her either a Claymore or a Breaking Charge.

Wamai - Defender (two speed, two armor)

Wamai is the next Defender with a gadget that can provide interesting options to defend, and no longer makes Jager the only choice if you need to protect your team from projectiles like grenades.

The MAG-NET gadget acts like a powerful magnet that sucks in a projectile like a stun grenade or even Ashe’s breaching round. Instead of Jager outright eliminating whatever is thrown at his gadget’s radius, Wamai’s MAG-NET redirects it to itself, giving Wamai an opportunity to use these gadgets to their advantage as they still explode, just now in the MAG-NET’s location.

Wamai’s gadget has the potential to change how you defend objectives as I can see players redirecting smoke grenades away from key pathways or let grenades detonate at a doorway to prevent a sudden rush from an Attacker. What’s interesting is the MAG-NET charges up just like how Lesion does with his Gu mines, giving Wamai more chances to defend their team from projectiles the longer the round plays out.

Not all gadgets can be affected by the MAG-NET though, like Hibana’s X-KAIROS will not be magnetized by Wamai’s gadget.

Wamai can be equipped with either an AUG A2 or an MP5K, and no, both cannot be equipped with an ACOG attachment. For his secondary, you can choose from a Rhino D-40 or a P12, and you can bring either Barbed Wires or a Deployable Shield.

Theme Park map gets a redesign

In 2019, Rainbow Six Siege was only given one new map during it’s first Season. The rest are reworks of classic maps to change up the map rotation. The next map to get this treatment is Theme Park, and Ubisoft’s goal for this redesign was to provide easier navigation and improve close-quarter engagements. The trains section of the old Theme Park map was removed and the front entrance is now blocked. That’s just a few changes done to the map as all the changes make this a completely new map that provides a hint of nostalgia to veteran players

Once Shifting Tide drops, Operators Hibana, Echo, Dokkaebi, Vigil, Zofia, Nomad, and Kaid will get a price decrease. Also, the update will incorporate a new limb penetration system and rappel options requesting a prompt from the player before entering the rappel position.
