Steam Deck will officially launch this February

Valve has announced that their handheld device the Steam Deck will officially launch on February 25. The company plans to send out the first batch of order emails to users that were able to secure a reservation last year. 

The first batch of order emails will be sent out on February 25 after around 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET. Those fortunate enough to get the order email will have 3 days to complete the purchase, if not, their reservation slot will be given to the next customer in the queue. If all goes well, the first batch of Steam Decks will be shipped to customers on February 28.

Once the first batch is sent out, they will continue to send out more order emails on a weekly basis.

Valve also pointed out that review units of the Steam Deck will be sent out in the near future, and that the embargo for impressions of the new hardware is February 25. 

This is Valve’s response to mobile and handheld gaming, a device that is capable of playing any game in your Steam library. The Steam Deck is packed with an AMD Zen 2 processor, a 16 GB of RAM, an AMD RDNA 2 GPU, and 64 to 612 GB of internal storage (depending on what model you pick).
