Rainbow Six Tactics Revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026
Ubisoft was present at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026, where it revealed Rainbow Six Tactics, a new single-player, turn-based tactical game set in the Rainbow Six universe.
The game is essentially XCOM meets Rainbow Six Siege, with players taking control of a team of four R6 Siege Operators and carefully planning every move each turn. Players will need to take cover, flank enemies, breach rooms, and make use of each Operator’s unique gadget to complete each mission.
Alongside the turn-based gameplay, players will also manage their base of operations and take on a variety of missions. Rainbow Six Tactics will feature 15 Operators from Siege, giving players a range of different abilities and combinations to experiment with.
The game is being developed by Ubisoft Paris and will feature a narrative that unfolds alongside the ongoing Rainbow Six Siege timeline. A new global threat pushes Team Rainbow to operate on a broader scale as they take on the new threat.
Ubisoft has not announced a release date for Rainbow Six Tactics. The game is set to release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Ubisoft+, GeForce NOW, and Blacknut.
This isn’t the only new strategy game announced by Ubisoft as they also revealed Heroes of Might and Magic III Remake at Gamescom Opening Night Live.
