New Rainbow Six Siege Operators Will Now Unlock Through The Battle Pass

Ubisoft’s tactical shooter, Rainbow Six Siege, is entering Year 6 of seasonal content and is finally dropping the Year Pass as future operators added to the game will now be unlocked through the seasonal Battle Pass.
This change takes effect in the upcoming Operation Crimson Heist season. The Battle Pass will cost you $10 and purchasing the pass will give you access to the new Argentinian attacker, Flores, who is equipped with an explosive drone.
You can watch Flores in action below. Operator Crimson Heist also features the reworked Border map, and a new secondary weapon that can clear defensive gadgets.
After two weeks, Flores will be available to all players and can be purchased through the game’s in-game currency for 25,000 Renown or through R6 Credits ($5).
This is a big win since the R6 community will just have to focus with one monetization model instead of two.

Siege’s Year 6 will continue the play they set in the second half of Year 5, which is to release one new operator each season with reworks to old maps and providing more events. This gives the team more time to focus on improving the core gameplay, and make changes to operators where it’s needed.
The first season of Year 6, Operation Crimson Heist, is now live on the game’s test servers for players to give the new operator a try as well as experience upcoming gameplay changes to the game.
