Here's the post-content roadmap for Back 4 Blood

Back 4 Blood has been out for quite some time now as it launched almost a month ago with no real details about it’s post content until now. Turtle Rock studios didn’t spill all the beans but there’s now a clear picture of what to expect moving forward.

For starters, a large November update is coming and is expected to fix a list of bugs, balancing  changes, and some quality of life improvements of the game. It’s a long list that covers all aspects of the game from it’s campaign, Swarm, to even calling it’s Solo Campaign ‘Practice mode’ considering that there’s no progression and all cards are unlocked in this mode as it wants to be treated as a practice area for players.

In December, it gets more interesting as this is where they will launch new content for the game. New supply lines will be added as well as a Ridden practice area to cater to players hoping to hone their skills as a special undead.

With it being the holidays, they will also host a holiday seasonal event during this month, though they didn’t go into detail on how it will play out.

The December update will also come with the sought-after solo offline mode with campaign progression, for those lone wolf wishing to play and earn their cards without randoms ruining your day. We will also get a new card type as well as new cards.

Beyond this, the details get more vague. For the expansions, the first one will be called Tunnels of Terror and will be out in 2022. Expansions two and three (both still have no official names) are still slated for a 2022 release. This paid content comes with the game’s Annual Pass and also comes with new Cleaners, Ridden, an activity type, weapons, more cards, and exclusive skins.

With regards to free content planned for 2022, players will soon get a new difficulty, new player and corruption cards, melee updates, more quality of life improvements, and finally a new co-op mode. The new co-op mode is an interesting point because since the beta, players have been endlessly requesting the addition of the famed Campaign Versus game mode found in the Left 4 Dead series. Hearing that a new co-op mode is being worked on by Turtle Rock studios gives the idea some hope but we’ll have to wait and see if that indeed becomes the case.
