Crysis 4 officially announced by Crytek

Crytek has confirmed that the studio is now working on the 4th installment of their first-person shooter Crysis with a working title Crysis 4. A vague teaser was released together with the announcement.

“Right now the game is in the early stages of development so it will be a while yet, but we wanted to bring you the news at this time as we are so hyped for the future, and to let you know that we will be listening to our community.” says Avni Yerli, CEO at Crytek in an official blog post talking about the upcoming Crysis game.

"Crytek has a proud history of working with our community to develop the games you want to play. Crysis is incredibly important to so many people - it's beloved by gamers everywhere, and some of those working in the industry today are doing so because of the original game - so we want to make sure the next instalment in the franchise lives up to all of your expectations. Make sure to join our socials and get involved!", continues Avni.

The post ends with the company pointing out that they have a few job openings for the team working on the 4th Crysis game, and that the studio has “some great things planned” for their Hunt: Showdown players.

If you’re excited for the return of Crysis, the remastered versions of all three games – Crysis, Crysis 2, Crysis 3 – are now available through the Crysis Remastered Trilogypackagethat launched last year.
