Online Card Game Legends of Runeterra Switches To Open Beta This January
/ Carlos Hernandez
One of Riot Games’ many projects announced during their 10th year anniversary in October is Legends of Runeterra, an online card game set in the League of Legends universe and it’s going to open beta on January 24 on the PC platform at 1 PM ET.
Once Legends of Runeterra shifts to open beta, all player accounts will be reset for the final time the moment the game goes live to the public on the 24th, giving everyone an equal footing. Participants of the open beta will be given the exclusive Moonstruck Poro Guardian and those who pre-registers on the game’s website before January 19 will get to play the game a day earlier (Jan 23).
The open beta will bring the game’s first ranked season as the patch that goes live two days before the open beta’s launch. This version of the game will feature ranked mode, the friends list feature, the ability to challenge a friend, and changes to more than 20 cards available in the game.
Legends of Runeterra is still set to fully release sometime in 2020 on PC and on mobile but no exact dates where given by Riot Games.
