Sony Interactive Entertainment will be hosting a State of Play presentation focused on the upcoming Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on April 29 5PM EST / April 30 5 AM PST (Philippine Standard Time) through their Twitch and YouTube channels. The presentation will feature more than 15 minutes of new Rift Apart gameplay and more.
Insomniac Games also released a new trailer that not only gives us a new look at the game but has also revealed the name of the new character that will be in parallel to Ratchet in this adventure. Her name is Rivet and according to Insomniac Games’ creative director Marcus Smith in a PlayStation Blog post, she’s a “Lombax resistance fighter from another dimension, where the evil Emperor Nefarious hunts all those who oppose him.”
Have a look at the new trailer below.
What’s interesting is not only the visual detail in this trailer but more of the seamless gameplay when switching from one set of environmental assets to another, a key feature that we’ll see more often in a couple of years once SSD hard drives are common hardware for every household.
Insomniac also revealed the Digital Deluxe Edition for Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which includes five armor sets, a photo mode sticker pack, 20 of the in-game upgrade material Raritanium, plus the game’s digital soundtrack and art book.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will launch on the PlayStation 5 on June 11, 2021.
