This is the kind of attitude that should be eliminated in e-sports

CODBO2-ss01 Everybody does their fair share of trash talking. It's fine. It can also be a form of tactic to throw your competitor off their game. But this kind of trash talking seen in this video is not only damaging to the e-sports community, but also damaging to the image of gaming as whole.

The YouTube footage is from EuroGamer, when they covered the Call of Duty Black Ops 2 European Championships. Have a look, and I'd advise you to tell any underage individual to step out for a bit while you watch. It's very...foul.

As much as the professionals say that the way they were acting is just how they play, and acting that way makes them even better at the game is no excuse, for both sides. This just gives a bad reputation for the Call of Duty community. It's already known as a very toxic environment, and they are just simply feeding that.  Communities like these hurt gaming's image and intimidates new players to even participate in just games online.

We are in an age where gaming is evolving rapidly. It's getting more matured. It's also appreciated by other forms of media, as well as non-gamers. So why not grow with the industry and act civil? Especially with e-sports, because I'm sure each of these pro player would like to be considered a "professional" player. With this kind of attitude? Not a chance. Show a thing called sportsmanship, and then maybe you will be taken seriously.

This is only the Call of Duty community of course, and does not reflect every other genre or other e-sport community out there. But the fact of the matter is, it's still connected with everything else. Hopefully we can defuse this because I'd like to see the e-sports scene to be treated with the same level of respect as sports athletes today. It has a big chance of happening very soon, so let's not ruin it with what was shown in the video below, please?

E3 2013: Destiny game demo and gameplay trailer

Destiny_Gameplay_THUMB Bungie's next title after the Halo series is Destiny and they have finally revealed gameplay footage for us to take in. I've always been curious to how this online FPS game would play out. These two videos pretty covers that.

E3 Sony game demo

Aside from this game looking gorgeous, Destiny really gives the Halo meets Borderlands feel. I would love it if Bungie would go more into detail in terms of character customization and progression. I wonder though if were going to constantly pick up items during each fight(something similar to Diablo or Borderlands) or only during specific enemies in the game.

Destiny gameplay trailer

If you're sold into getting this game, you're in luck. You don't necessarily have to make a decision on what next-gen console to get in order to play this game, Destiny will also be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Bungie and Activision is already thinking about Destiny in years to come, with sequels and added content, so this game will definitely be around for a long time.

Destiny is planned for a 2014 release.

The Law Of The Jungle -- Destiny Official Trailer

Destiny-Law-of-Jungle-PV Bungie released a new trailer for their upcoming online FPS called Destiny. It's a mix of CG and live-action featuring Giancarlo Esposito(Breaking Bad, Revolution).

Destiny does look interesting at this point, but its hard to gauge if this would bring something new to the table. After Bungie finishing Halo: Reach, they were absent for years working on Destiny, and with them getting a year-long deal with Activision(I'm guessing for a Destiny franchise), this feels like an ambitious project that could be a make or break for Bungie.

At the end of the video, gameplay footage will debut on Sony's press conference, so if you're curious to how Destiny plays, tune in at this year's E3 on June 10.

Destiny will be released hopefully at the end of this year or early 2014 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One

Migoy Rants - DEADPOOL Gameplay Trailer

DEADPOOL_gameplayI finally saw the gameplay video for the Deadpool game. REAL gameplay footage. None of that vague trailer bullshit that they showed off before. I gotta say, I'm not impressed.

The apartment stuff looks funny but will probably brings laughs the first time around. Gameplay doesn't look broken but does look like a very watered down version of what you get in the God of War games. For the most part of the earlier trailers and from what I've seen in this gameplay video, the humor looks very very forced. I'm usually a big fan of juvenile humor but this just doesn't seem to stick with me. This game will probably be worth a rental or something to buy if you find it cheap. Like 500php cheap. Honestly, 500php still seems like too much but that's usually the lowest price that 2nd hand PS3 sell for here in the Philippines. Personally I'd prefer to buy this game for 200php. Anyway that's just my two cents. And, hey. The game isn't even out yet so Activision might prove me wrong and the Deadpool game may actually be really good... Please be really good.
