Nexon announced that the first Steam beta of their online looter shooter The First Descendant is now live and those with access can download and start trying out the game. If you’re interested in joining the Steam Beta, here’s a quick guide on what you need to do.
How to get a Steam key for The First Descendant Steam Beta
To get a Steam key for The First Descendant October 2022 Steam Beta the most surefire way to score a key is to simply watch any streamer on Twitch currently streaming the game with Twitch Drops enabled.
Check out The First Descendant category on Twitch and simply watch a streamer for at least 15 minutes to be rewarded a Steam key. Again, watch those with Twitch Drops enabled, some streamers will not have it available so be sure to check before entering a channel.
15 minutes is pretty quick but if you stick around for much longer you’ll earn more rewards for the game.

Once you’ve got your Steam Beta key unlocked, head to the Nexon twitch Drops page and login wit your Twitch account, then link it with your Steam account. Once that’s done, get your beta Code and simply input the code in your Steam account and start downloading the game!
The First Descendant Steam beta will feature 10 unlockable characters with their own unique abilities, a variety of missions, weapons to collect and some boss fights to test your mettle. There will be in-game events during the duration of the beta and these will not only earn you in-game currency but help unlock more of the game’s content such as weapons, abilities, and characters.
Players will earn the “Frost Walker Hunter” title at launch for participating in the Steam beta, but only if you’ve completed the Void Intercept Battle “Frost Walker” mission found in the beta.

The beta is now live and will last from October 20, 2022 until Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 11:59 PM PDT.
For those unfamiliar, The First Descendant is an upcoming free-to-play sci-fi online looter shooter where players take on the role as Descendants talks to fight against alien invaders for the sake of humanity’s survival. In short, expect a game that is in the same vein as titles such as Warframe and Destiny 2. Expect heavy grind, and possibly deep character customization.

Battle Huge Boss Monsters - Battle huge boss monsters with different appearances and abilities. Various powers and difficulties will stimulate the player’s competitive spirit as you struggle not to fall in battle. Target the boss’s gimmicks to experience a more compact and strategic team play.
Motivating Play and Growth - Equip characters with 3 guns, 4 pieces of secondary equipment, and various sub-weapons. Use and change the equipment based on the types of battles encountered. New equipment develops character growth by combining various pieces, enhancing character and firearm stats, or adding a new ability. Obtain new items through clearing scenario missions or in the world missions where cooperation is crucial. Use new items to challenge yourself with more complex tasks!
