Injustice: Gods Among Us Ares Combos

ares combosA friend of mine told me to use Ares as a joke (we thought his inclusion in the game was funny) but as I messed around with him in training more for an hour or two I found that he seems like a pretty good character. A bit stiff in terms of range, movement and normals but he can do decent damage of simple strings and can do hard hitting corner combos. You can hit a wall bounce after a meter burned God Smack (the unblockable flying sledgehammer like move) but I found that out after I made this video.

The last combo actually does around 55% or so damage but I edited it to show the win pose at the end.

Clueless Gamer - Injustice: Gods Among Us (General Zod gameplay and The Flaming C costume)

the_flaming_c_injustice A new episode of Clueless Gamer by Conan O'Brien. This time he reviews the new DC fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us.

They talk about the Injustice comic, show a bit of General Zod gameplay and reveal a new costume based on the super created Conan and Bruce Tim, The Flaming C.

On a side note, those arcade sticks look mad sick. I'm a sucker for light-up accessories.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Scorpion Combos

injustice_scorp_combosI bought the season pass after I found out that Scorpion was available early (for real this time) for season pass owners.  After fiddling around with the misplaced Mortal Kombat fighter, I decided to make another combo video to show off a bit of what the yellow ninja can do. I find that Scorpion is pretty easy to use. A bit too easy if you ask me. He's got pretty good normals with a decent amount of mix-up combo strings and can special cancel into spear or teleport punch out of almost all of them. Meter burning the spear would cancel the punch that follows to enable for combo extension and meter burning the teleport punch would put foes into a juggle state. Add to all that an air throw, unblockable fire pillar and a teleport cross up super and you've got what could potentially be the best online character in the game so far.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Official Scorpion DLC Trailer

Injustice Scorpion 01So Scorpion has been officially revealed as the next DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us. Scorpion's move set similarities to Batman are more apparent now. He seems to have a starting low kick that leads to a high. The low slide is also present. The spear that pulls opponents towards you as opposed to Batman's grapple that pull HIM towards the opponent. Meter burning the spear stops them and puts them in a stun state while putting Scorpion into a neutral state to enable for combo extension. Scorpion's teleport has also made a comeback, no telling yet how cheap this might be in the actual game. He seems to have a move that lights himself on fire. I'm guessing it has similar properties to that of Grundy's fart gas. And finally the hellfire that he summons below his opponents. My guess is that move will still be unblockable.

Injustice Scorpion 02

The grab animation and his clash animation are hilarious and kinda awesome. His super is a little elaborate while still being a tad underwhelming though the initial hit does look really good. The intro and win poses are fantastic though I find the win pose a little bit on the long side. Looks like we'll be getting another free costume once Scorpion rolls out, this time it's Superman running his Black Lantern look.

Oh, and that Martian Manhunter teaser at the end.

Injustice: Gods Among Us - Shazam Combos

capmarvel combos Here are few Shazam combos that I put together. I'm sure there are more efficient and optimal combos out there but Shazam does decent damage without getting all fancy. Most of these combos involve burning 2 meters because meter burning his command grabs enable for combo extension.

These are pretty easy to pull off because Shazam doesn't have a lot of normals and strings that he can combo off of. At least as far as I can tell.
