Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess launch on the Switch 2 today, bringing new features and unique ways to play.

Capcom has given a good look at SNK’s Mai Shiranui in Street Fighter 6 as she’s the next DLC character to join the fighting game’s roster of characters on February 5, 2025.

Capcom has revealed that Akuma, the final DLC character for Street Fighter 6’s Year 1, is set to release on May 22, 2024 across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam). They also shared details on the character’s move set as well as three significant updates that will launch alongside Akuma.

Capcom announced that Akuma, the final DLC character for season 1 of Street Fighter 6, will release in Spring 2024. Together with the release window announcement, we are also given a teaser trailer showing off the iconic character’s new look in the game.

Capcom is releasing the third batch of official skins for the launch roster of Street Fighter 6 on December 1. Officially called Outfit 3, these outfits are available for all 18 characters that were made available when the fighting game officially launched in June.

Capcom revealed the first gameplay footage of the upcoming DLC character A.K.I. joining Street Fighter 6 on September 27. A new A.K.I.-themed Fighting Pass will launch at the start of September to celebrate the new character.

The first DLC character for Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 is non other than the Turbulent Wind Rashid as he will be added to the game on July 24. Players that own the Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition, or the Year 1 Character Pass will have Rashid unlocked the moment he goes live.

Street Fighter 6’s Open Beta demonstrated that it is possible to provide a stable online experience for any player in the world as if you’re roaming the floors of a video game arcade store. They could launch with a competent online game mode, and that’s exciting.

Capcom announced that there will be an open beta for Street Fighter 6 as it will contain the same content found during the Closed Beta #2 session, which is access to eight characters, online play, Battle Hub, and crossplay.

The Street Fighter 6 Showcase that was hosted by Lil Wayne concluded and revealed new information on the upcoming fighting game such as the first four DLC characters coming to the game in Year 1. It was also revealed that a new playable demo is available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 for all right now.
