CD Projekt Red reveals Patch 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077, adding autodrive via Delamain, new vehicles, photo mode upgrades, and technical improvements. Launches July 17.

CD Projekt RED is not done improving their sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 as they just revealed that the upcoming 2.1 major free update will include a fully functional metro system for Night City, replayable car races, improved boss battles, more accessibility features, and more.

CD Projekt Red gave us a glimpse of their future by announcing that the Polish company is working on five major projects – a new Cyberpunk 2077 game, three games set in the Witcher universe, and the fifth being an entirely new IP created by the studio.

Since the launch of patch 1.6 for Cyberpunk 2077 and the release of Netflix anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, we see a surprising resurgence of interest to play CD Projekt Red’s latest RPG as the concurrent players in Steam are slowly rising.

CD Projekt Red and PlayStation has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 is now back on the PlayStation Store, more than six months after it was pulled from the online store due to various performance issues that plagued players that purchased the game at launch. This time around, the game’s store page warns players to not play the game on a base PS4 unit.

Despite the game’s rocky launch, CD Projekt Red has announced in a post-earnings call that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold 13.7 million copies through the end of 2020. The number is a company estimate based on the information provided by distributors.

The major 1.1 patch for CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 has gone live for all platforms which fixed numerous bugs and improves stability and performance, it came with a game-breaking bug that could ruin a player’s playthrough. The bug affects the ‘Down on the Street’ main quest and here’s a simple workaround for now before a full fix is implemented in the next patch.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an ambitious title that many revered as genre-defining, but that’s not the case here at all. What we have here is a world oozing with potential, but one that drowned itself in its own expectation and hype. It has great stories to experience, and I had fun with the gameplay loop of going from gig to gig and shooting bad guys scattered around every dark alley of Night City, but that can only bring you so far depending on how tolerable you’ll need to be to fully enjoy the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 already needs a lot of patience and tolerance to go through the series of issues found in the PC iteration, and the console version asks even more from you, as it features more technical issues that will affect your playthrough.
