Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 Adds Autodrive, New Vehicles, and Photo Mode Upgrades

CD Projekt Red recently hosted another REDstreams developer livestream, showcasing Cyberpunk 2077’s next free update. While Patch 2.3 may seem minor in the grand scheme of things, it adds meaningful quality-of-life improvements to the open-world RPG that has since reinvented itself into a title worthy of hours of play. The update focuses on new customization options, fresh vehicles, the Delamain Taxi service now having an autodrive feature, and more.

Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 Patch Overview

This latest update is a collaboration between CD Projekt Red and support studio Virtuos. The biggest addition is the autodrive feature through the Delamain Taxi service, giving players a hands-free way to travel Night City. New vehicles are being introduced, such as the Yaiba Semimaru, straight out of the Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown comic. These aren't just added to your garage automatically; each one comes with its own quest, essentially adding more content. They are also adding new car customizations with an additional crystalcoat customization and extra twintone paint jobs.

Other additions are geared toward visual options and a more expanded photo mode.

Improved Photo Mode Customization

Photo mode was improved extensively in this patch as players can now customize the weather and time of day, change NPCs, outfits, and even change poses, as you can change the position of the head, eyes, or even the shoulder if you are looking for a specific look. More stickers and frames were also added in this update.

Visual and Technical Enhancements

Patch 2.3 introduces several visual and technical upgrades:

  • AMD FSR 4.0 and FSR 3.1 frame generation

  • Intel XeSS 2.0 support

  • Improved HDR settings

  • VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

It’s impressive to see CD Projekt Red continuing to support Cyberpunk 2077, especially after turning the game’s reputation around and delivering the Phantom Liberty expansion, which fans loved. The inclusion of Virtuos makes sense as CDPR likely shifts its primary focus to Witcher 4.

Patch 2.3 launches on July 17 across all platforms except for the Nintendo Switch 2, which will receive the patch at a later time.

Cyberpunk 2077 was recently added to PS Plus for July 2025 as the highlight game for the month.
