Aside from the image you see above, there’s no other official details released so far to get a better idea of what they are working on, but it’s good to hear Rocksteady is ready to show what they’ve been working on in a few weeks time as the last game was Batman: Arkham Knight, released way back in 2015. The official twitter account for the game is also now official up as well.
The image they released is rather interesting as we see Superman with a target on his head suggesting their iteration of the Suicide Squad will be tasked to take down the biggest heroes in the DC universe.
It also supports a report from Eurogamer last June regarding a series of domain names picked up by a company associated with Warner Bros., with one of the domains pointing out that this game could be called Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Hunting down top dogs in the Justice League sounds like an impossible task, a perfect fit for a band of villains called the Suicide Squad. But how will it play? Just like the Arkham series? Maybe a 4-player co-op game? A first person shooter!? Skies the limit at this point until Rocksteady Studios talks more about this game on August 22 during DC’s virtual FanDome event.
So far, I’ve been loving my new console. It truly feels like a generational leap from the original Switch, even if its core concept remains the same. This may be simply an iterative, straightforward improvement over the original system, but I guess the thinking is that as the saying goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
