Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 are coming to PS5 and Xbox Series in 2022

Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 will be getting the next-gen treatment as Capcom announced that these games are heading to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2022.

All three titles will receive “cutting-edge features” according to Capcom, such as ray tracing, increased frame rates and 3D audio. For PlayStation 5, these games will make use of the Haptic Feedback and adaptive triggers of the DualSense controller.

The best thing is those that owns a copy of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 on the PS4 and Xbox One are eligible for the upgrade for free. Those who own copies of the games mentioned on PC will also receive an upgrade patch, also for free.

Both Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 look fantastic in current standards, so it will be curious to see how these games will look like and how they perform with the added upgrades. No release date was given but it’s good to hear no additional cost is needed to revisit theses games in a new coat of paint.
