Marvel's Midnight Suns is the first big delay of 2022

Firaxis Games announced that their strategy game Marvel’s Midnight Suns would be delayed to the latter half of 2022. The reason for the delay is that the developers simply need more time work on the game to properly execute their vision for the game.

The time spent will be used to include more “story, cinematics, and overall polish” says the developer. They didn’t give an exact date this time as when the game was announced, it was expected to release sometime in March.

There’s a lot of delays from big games recently, making the first quarter of next year pretty packed, but Midnight Sons has to be the first big one for a game initially slated for a 2022 release.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be unique as it looks and plays like XCOM: Enemy Unknown, turn-based strategy, which is Firaxis specialty. For an added twist, the game will feature a card-based system that are used to execute hero skills.

Marvel’s Midnight Sons will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
