IO Interactive teases Hitman 3 Year Two content

IO interactive has announced that more content and features are coming to Hitman 3. They released a video teasing a VR version of the game and Ray Tracing for the PC version of the game, all planned to launch next January.

For new content, the Elusive Target Arcade is planned for January as well but didn’t go into detail about what it’s all about. It’s likely a permanent mode similar to the franchise’s limited elusive targets.

IO also promised new maps, storylines, more game modes, and more ways to play throughout 2022. They will share more about what they have planned for Year 2 before January 20, 2022.

Hitman 3’s Year 1 of content is now over as the game’s Seven Deadly Sins expansion isn’t fully released as the final one, titled ‘Wrath;, is set to launch on October 29, 2021.

Hitman 3 was highly praised when it was released as it has a Metacritic score of 87 for the PC version. If you own the first two games of the trilogy, you can play all of their maps through the Hitman 3 engine.

You can also play the first two games with the Hitman 3 engine without owning Hitman 3 through the game’s Access Pass if you own Hitman 2 or Hitman 1’s Game of the Year edition on select platforms.

Hitman 3 was released at the start of this year on January 20 and is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch (cloud version), Stadia, and PC.
