Xbox’s Multiplatform Push Continues

The move continues Microsoft’s growing trend of bringing first-party titles to other platforms. It began in early 2024, when Xbox announced four exclusivesSea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Pentiment—would arrive on other consoles, including PlayStation.

That effort expanded further after Indiana Jones and the Great Circle launched in December 2024. Not long after, Xbox confirmed that it, too, would be coming to PS5 in early 2025.

Now, with Gears of War making its PlayStation debut, Microsoft is clearly embracing a multiplatform future, leaving the door open for even more iconic franchises, like Halo, to make the jump next.
