Free Fire x Jujutsu Kaisen Crossover Event Starts January 14
/The free-to-play mobile battle royale Free Fire is getting a Jujutsu Kaisen crossover event called “Jujutsu Awakening”, running from January 14 to February 13.
This event puts a supernatural spin on Free Fire’s usual gameplay. During matches, players can collect Curse Energy to unlock Jujutsu abilities inspired by the anime. Curse Energy can be found across the map, kills from enemy players, or purchased through in-match vending machines.
These abilities mirror iconic techniques from the series, including Satoru Gojo’s Unlimited Void Domain Expansion and Ryomen Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine, both obtainable through Cyber Airdrops. There are also abilities like Yuji’s Divergent Fist. Revival points are also available, letting players get back into the action faster after being eliminated.
In Clash Squad, players can buy Cursed Energy weapons, such as a Level 3 Hammer, after securing a Cyber Airdrop.
The crossover isn’t just changing gameplay either. The main map will receive a Jujutsu High School-themed makeover to better match the event’s aesthetic. Another cool addtion for the event is two exclusive tracks created by composer Yoshimasa Terui called “Awakening Path”, and “Awakening Battle”
Jujutsu Kaisen Cosmetic Rewards
The event also brings in a lineup of Jujutsu Kaisen-themed cosmetics, including character bundles, weapon skins, banners, stickers, and voice packs.
Some rewards are free, such as themed banners and stickers, while the Yuji Itadori bundle is the final main free reward, allowing players to use Yuji as a playable character in Free Fire.
Premium bundles for Nobara Kugisaki, Satoru Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro, and Ryomen Sukuna are also available during the event through the game’s premium currency.
