Far Cry 5 Will Be Free To Play This Weekend Through Uplay
If you’ve always wanted to try out Far Cry 5 on PC this weekend is your chance as Ubisoft is hosting a free weekend of the full game starting May 29, 2020 and will last until May 31, 2020.
You can pre-load the game on Uplay starting today, May 28 to get ready for your visit to Hope County, Montana. Co-op will be available during the weekend so players can try out the game’s co-op feature that allows players to go through the game as a group.
Naturally, during the free period, the PC Standard and Gold editions of Far Cry 5 will be 75% off on Uplay. If you buy the game during the free weekend, all your progress will carry over once you own a copy of the game.

Writer’s take: Why not! It’s free to try it out on PC and while I do prefer the antagonists (Vaas is a great character) of the previous games, this is a strong starting point that are new to the series.
Fans of the series will love what has been done here, as this is yet another example of how remakes can succeed without relying on over-the-top visual flair. It’s a perfect game for anyone looking to experience a classic that shaped the RPGs of today.
