Dying Light 2 Stay Human Roadmap for the Rest of 2023 Features New Weapons, Missions, and Events

Dying Light 2 2023 roadmap updated.

Techland is not done with their 2022 open-world zombie game Dying Light 2 Stay Human, as they’ve updated the game’s 2023 roadmap showing what to expect from the game for the rest of this year and early 2024.

The updated roadmap shows there’s a lot coming to the game besides new co-op missions and replayable content. Graphical options such as a switch for the Bloom effect and a FOV slider for the Xbox Series S are coming. We also have quality-of-life improvements for the game such as the ability to repair your weapons, gear dismantling, and mod dismantling. Cross-save is also in the cards in the near future.

The roadmap also showed that more cosmetics are on the way as well as new mechanics such as new enemy variants, new finishers, a Nightmare difficulty option, Nightrunner tools for NG+, and now having enemies drop the weapons for you to pick up.

Techland also plans to add a new weapon rarity, weapon types Knives and Polearms, elemental effects for weapons thrown, and a weapon called the Scorpio.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human will also be packed with events in the coming months starting with a Vampire: The Masquerade crossover event this October. Also, October is the Halloween event that they have yet to unveil.

In November, expect another crossover with Ubisoft’s melee-focused game For Honor, though they have yet to reveal the details for that event as well. Then, December will have a Winter celebration event just in time for the Holidays. Lastly, Techland will be doing a 2nd-anniversary event for the game, likely in February, as the game officially launched in February 2022.

The devs are still hard at work as they did promise Dying Light 2 Stay Human will have the same kind of support as the first game Dying Light, which received support from Techland with new content and improvements in a span of seven years after it was released.
